Real Wedding: Theresa + Jeremy’s Love Story Wedding

Hopefully you enjoyed Theresa + Jeremy’s engagement session I shared this morning (if not, be sure to check it out here). And now for their wedding!  Theresa + Jeremy used their own artistic talents to create their wedding centered around the text of love stories – how unique is that! The specific text that they used was found in a book called “The Art of Courtly Love” and that sums these two up perfectly. Thanks so much to Micah & Megan Photography for sharing this fun wedding with us today. :)

From the couple, “Our future together and our commitment to each other was the obvious foundation of our wedding day.  We decided early on that we would spend our money wisely and find creative ways to make the day a true celebration of the love that we share and to share that love with the friends and family who are so important to us.  We used our own artistic style to achieve the wedding of our dreams – and we had fun creating it together.”

Most memorable moment of your wedding day? A quiet moment alone between the ceremony and the reception where we were able to reflect on the day and enjoy each other.

Any advice for those planning now? Don’t lose sight of the reason for it all.

We had plenty of people stop us to tell us that we were crazy for trying to do what we were doing (doing so many of the DIY details ourselves).  We stopped and said “We are crazy for doing what we are doing!”  … but we had so much fun.
And that is what it is all about! Big congrats to Theresa + Jeremy!

This was the first wedding I went to as a married woman. It. was. beautiful. It wasn’t until 15 minutes into the ceremony that I realized the flowers were made of paper-they looked so real. Every piece of decor had such a personal, creative, unique touch. Love, love, love. The photographers were great-unobtrusive, yet captured everything. Best wishes to the newlyweds!
