I hope everyone had a lovely Memorial Day Weekend! Today’s wedding features the most gorgeous couple – Stephanie + Brian. Brian is in the service and was deployed twice during their relationship. Stephanie + Brian describe their wedding as “peaceful, comfy, and personal.” It’s also full of lovely vintage details, gorgeous flowers and lots of love. Photographed by the talented Brandon Kidd, their wedding is just so lovely! Thanks to Stephanie + Brian for reading Green Wedding Shoes throughout the planning process and for sharing a bit into your day with us :)
How did the two of you meet? We met at a dueling piano bar in Hollywood. :)
Describe the proposal. We had just come home from a very long, very sweaty bike ride from a beach BBQ with friends. I had just collapsed into the couch with our two dogs when out of the corner of my eye was Brian – shirtless, sweaty on one knee. It was perfect for us. Simple, sweet and totally odd.
What was your most memorable moment about your wedding day? We both agree it was when I walked down the aisle with my mom. All our guests, with the exception of some immediate family, stood around for the ceremony. It was like a big hug from our closest friends and family. It felt so personal. There was so much love around us.
The flowers were one of my favorite things about the day. I don’t know the first thing about flowers so rather than tell Stacey what kind I wanted, I told her the feel I was going for. She totally got it. The flowers helped tie everything in to make this romantic, serene, vintage-feeling day. It was better than I could have imagined. We felt like we had our own secret garden.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was probably the centerpieces. Every table was a different assortment of vases, vintage tins and trinkets that we found over the course of our engagement at various garage sales and flea markets. Each centerpiece was like a little museum. I think people could really see “us” in each one.
We served mini pies from Urth Caffe with ice cream for our dessert. We wanted the evening to feel cozy and thought pies a la mode oozed coziness. Not to mention they are like edible heaven. We cut out little paper hearts, stamped them with the word “love” and glued them onto toothpicks to poke into the tops of each pie. So yummy and so cute. We also got a cake from Sweet & Saucy shop so that we could cut a cake at the wedding. It was perfect with pale green lace, creamy pearls and a huge pink flower. What’s even better is that it actually tasted amazing!
Congrats to Stephanie + Brian. And a special note of thanks to all of those out there who are serving our country or have served. We all appreciate it greatly! And be sure to check out even more photos on Brandon’s blog. Brandon is located in Orange County, CA and available to travel worldwide.

This is gorgeous! I’ve got to say, there is really something fantastically handsome about a groom in uniform.
What amazing photos – I love the romantic, beautiful bouquets, with the fine placement of fern. Just stunning!!
What a beautiful wedding. I loved every detail, especially the tree fingerprint seating chart! Congratulations to the bride and groom!
I must say pictures do not do it justice. This day was such a day full of love and happiness. Stephanie thought of every detail down to making her own blankets and sandals for her quests. I was never excited to have a wedding until I experienced this one.( and I’m not just saying this cause I was lucky enough to be apart of the bridal party hehehe) congratulations my dear friends.
What fabulous photos! I can certainly appreciate how much went into the design and setup for this wedding! What a beautiful day!
Hi, just wondering of the actual date or time of year the wedding was? I saw the fingerprint tree was in autumn colours but the photos make it look a bit like it was spring…
Hi Lysh – This wedding took place this April :)
I love this wedding, the detail is so so pretty! I also love the fact that the colours are so delicate yet the bridesmaid dresses are black which works really well too..
This has to be the most elegant wedding I’ve ever seen. Such gorgeous details. I, too, love the fingerprint tree, but the keys, containers and vases, flowers – everything is beautiful. And of course, a BEAUTIFUL bride to go along with it all. Jaelyn, http://bit.ly/8YFKwZ
A couple after my own heart.

Absolutely gorgeous wedding! Each detail is perfection. Love the brides bouquet with the springs of fern and her DRESS- Stunning! If the bride is reading this, do you mind revealing the style number the dress is?
I love this wedding, the detail is so so pretty! I also love the fact that the colours are so delicate yet the bridesmaid dresses are black which works really well too..
Megan: The dress is by Lazaro and the style # is 3916. The only change I made was making the top more of a sweetheart. Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys! It was so much fun to plan!I wish I could do nothing but shop for pretty things all day – forever! =)
Beautiful wedding! I would love know where you found all the vintage keys… I love keys!!
Stephanie, I LOVEEEEE your dress!! so much so it makes me want to buy another wedding gown (even though I’ve already been married for almost a year)! Congrats on a beautiful wedding!

Simply amazing! A lovely couple, a beautiful setting, a fabulous day, beautiful memories, and exquisitely presented.
Thank you for sharing with us.
Lovely table decorations and table number cards
I was curious where you found your keys? And, how did you like your DJ? I am looking for one for my Irvine wedding.
Hi, I was wondering where you got the flower that is attached to the veil? I checked the David’s Bridal website and did not see it. Yours is gorgeous! The ones listed on the David’s Bridal look a bit cheesy and cheap. Thanks!
Theresa,
So glad I checked this today! I’m trying to (finally) put our album together and came on for help. I made a boo-boo when I put David’s. The veil and flower are from Mon Amie Bridal Salon in Costa Mesa, the same place I got my dress.
Kim,
I found my keys mostly in antique stores, ebay, etc. and I did like my DJ. He was really laid back and behind the scenes so there wasn’t any DJ cheeziness which was nice. Plus, he let us pretty much create our own playlist even if it meant he had to download 2,000 new songs. ;) His name is Jeff Holmes http://www.moondancemobilemusic.com/
Ohh…how lovely!
: )
