Real Wedding: Lydia + Joshua’s Backyard Wedding

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had so much fun celebrating the wedding of my dear friends Sarah + Joel in Cape Cod the past few days. What a gorgeous location for a wedding! And to start the week off on Green Wedding Shoes, I have a lovely backyard wedding to share from Love Me Do Photography. The celebration took place in Lydia’s parents backyard which overlooks fields of grasses in Worcester, PA. It was a family affair as Lydia’s dress was her mom’s which she hand made when she got married and her grandmother did the embroidery. The invites + rings were by her brother adam smith, and her sister-in-law Halligan Norris made the cake topper + programs.

My aunt did the girls bouquets. Jessica Knarr and I made the center pieces, and my mom did all the potted plants.

The dancing in the last images if from a West African dance group in Philly – Croatan Studios – that Lydia is a part of. They taught all the guests some West African dances and then they had a dance where all the girls are on one side and all the guys on the other, a sort of mating ritual dance.

Thanks again to Nadine from Love Me Do Photography for letting me share this sweet wedding today. Love Me Do Photography is located in Philadelphia, PA and available for travel worldwide.
