Real Wedding: Heather + Grayson’s Fun Wedding

When photographers Dana + Jeremy sent me these photos and said they thought this wedding was just my style, I couldn’t wait to see them – and they were totally right! I love this wedding! So many fun details – and really beautiful photos! Heather is also a photographer, so she knew exactly what she wanted from her wedding. Heather + Grayson choose Crestmore Manor in Riverside CA which has beautiful Southern grounds. Heather either handmade everything or put it together somehow. From each centerpiece to the place settings. Their theme was birds, feathers, orange, teal, yellow, apple green.

I love these pin wheels! I was just planning to do a post on how cute I thought it would be to include pin wheels and then I see these – so fun!

Heather made the bouquets. Grayson’s boutonniere is from Etsy.

What a beautiful couple…love her hair! Her makeup was done by Amy Clarke.

Heather handmade the teal sashes for the dresses. The bridesmaid dresses are from Urban Outfitters. The maid of honor and best man wore teal instead of yellow.

I love the different colored ties and no jackets – and the groom in a vest! Oh, and how cute are the shoes the girls are wearing?

How cute are their dogs!?

Each centerpiece was a little different. The plates at the head table were all from Heather’s vintage collection.

I love that they left on their bike!

Oh my goodness I love this!! My themes are teal, chartreuse, peacock feathers, and black and white damask patterns!! I know it sounds like a lot, but this wedding completely reaffirmed my thought that I can do all of those themes!

I love the hanging peacock feathers- It’s hard to tell from the photo- Where are they hanging from? And how are they situated? :)

My wedding will be next year – I have to thank all of you, because of the great photos it`s hopefully possible to bring some of the great ideas to my wedding in Austria.

  27. To respond to Carly,
We hung all the peacock feathers from fishing wire, just glued them on. They WERE all separated and all different lengths, but the wind made sure they clumped together, haha. They are hung from a line of twigs and wrapped around the tree with twine. It took us 3 hours to make and was REALLY hard to handle.
i loved it though, but I wish they stayed separated like a back drop.
