Kelcee + Jake drew most of the inspiration for their San Diego garden wedding from Jake’s romantic Parisian proposal! That’s right, ladies. What a dream! Kelcee shares the story in greater detail below, but first we can’t help but gush for a sec about how sweet their wedding turned out to be. Starting with the totally adorable bridesmaids ensembles (Tulle AND polka dots? Come on, so cute!) to the super gorge blooms from Flowers By Hilary, to all the little gold touches + details, we love how you can truly tell this day was the sweetest reflection of Kelcee + Jake!
Kelcee says, Jake proposed to me in Paris in front of the Eiffel tower when I was on a girls backpacking trip through Europe. One minute we’re taking goofy tourist pictures and the next I’m turning around and see Jake, (whom I thought was home in San Diego at work), get down on one knee and ask me to marry him in the most romantic city in the world! We wanted to take that elegant and romantic feel from Paris and combine it with the outdoors and rustic feel of a farm wedding. That’s why we chose to get married at Quail Haven Farm because you can feel and see that rustic elegance all around.
Big thanks to Dawn Alexandra Photography for the beautiful images and congrats to K + J!!
Kelcee’s bouquet was composed of a giant dahlia, garden roses, thistle, waxflower + a generous dose of silver dollar eucalyptus!
And she did her own hair + makeup! Doesn’t she look gorgeous?
We SERIOUSLY adore this bridesmaid look! The gals wore tops from Target paired with tulle skirts from Space 46 Boutique. If you love this look for your ‘maids, shop it with us below!
Whenever I ask my husband what his most memorable moment of our wedding day was, he says it was when he saw me for the first time walking down the aisle and I always agree that seeing him for that first time that day is my most memorable moment. All the nerves of all the attention being on me went away and it was just the two of us.
Processional: Marry Me (instrumental) – Train
Recessional: Home – Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
First Dance: Only Love – Ben Howard
These two, the cutest!
And we love K + J’s sweet wedding video by Forrey Films!
My advice for those planning now is to get all your vendors booked when you first get engaged so that you don't run the risk of a certain vendor you really want already being booked for your wedding day. Most importantly though, have FUN! It's really not worth being stressed your whole engagement.

This garden wedding has so many fantastic ideas! We love the flower arrangements as well as the earthy feel of the reception.
Full disclosure: I am slightly obsessed with tulle ballerina skirts. I have 3 already (blush pink, white and black). I loooooooove them so much!
That being said, I know they can be expensive and I love what Kelcee did with her bridesmaids’ outfits, so for anyone on a budget I just want to let you know that you can get tulle tutu skirts very similar to these at Windsor Store. They are only $34.90 and they come in several colors.
You can even pre-order the white one that now comes with SPARKLES in the skirt for just a couple bucks extra.
Anyhow, that’s where I bought my tutu skirts and they are amazing. I love finding deals like this and often post them on my blog: THINK LIKE A BOSS LADY
Thanks, Green Wedding Shoes for sharing this incredibly unique and gorgeous wedding and happy wedding inspiration to all of the brides-to-be!

Beautiful elegant and rustic wedding. I love the menu written on a small brown bag that holds the napkin/silverware. Great idea!
