In an effort to bring that always-cool Palm Springs vibe up to Northern California, the designers at Spreading Lovely and photographer, Danielle Poff, teamed up to create this inspiring, bohemian-influenced editorial, that’s sure to spark some gorgeous entertaining + interior design ideas for all of us today!
Morgan of Spreading Lovely explains more about the team’s ideas + vision, After some searching, I came across The Ruth Bancroft Garden, tucked away in Walnut Creek which gave the perfect vibe to fulfill of our bohemian meets modern Palm Springs dreams! Danielle and I both gravitate toward a more bohemian feel, and we knew we wanted to keep some gorgeous and loose elements throughout – such as our bride’s oversized bouquet by Amanda Vidmar Design, mixed color rugs, and some amazing larger-than-life dreamcatchers by Gypsy Moon Store as our ceremony backdrop.
Loving the pretty jewels by Fiat Lux! Shop more of our favorite boho jewelry below!
With so many bold details, we didn’t want our groom to be overlooked, so we placed him a phenomenal patterned jacket sourced from Zara. We think grooms should be stylish too!
Isn’t this ceremony set-up a total dream with those dreamcatchers by Gypsy Moon Store?!!
For our lounge we wanted to do something really bright and fun and Botanical Lifestyle & Design offered the most amazing bohemian collection which we mixed and matched, keeping with the navy element in the couch to tie in with the tablescape colors and bright rugs to mirror the bold bouquets. Cotton candy from Sugar & Spun was the perfect dessert, offering an alternative to the standard wedding cake for couples that want something a little different. With so many colors and flavors, your guests are sure to find one they love.
Major, MAJOR love for the simplicity of this bridal look by Melissa Hoffmann. Loose waves, a one-off fishtail braid and a sweet gold + silver crown FTW!
Our tablescape leans more on the Palm Springs vibe with modern marbled plates, a black table, amazing ghost chairs, and sleek gold candle holders. We mixed fun boho elements throughout like the teal candles from CB2 and mixing the metals of gold and copper. The bright floral arrangement gives an amazing contrast and pop on the black table!
We’re definitely in love! And we’re pretty impressed with how the talented team below really did bring a perfect Palm Springs vibe up north. It goes to show that with a little determination, you can achieve your dream wedding look no matter where you are located!
