Ashley grew up collecting tadpoles and going on hikes as a kid. When she and her fiancé Brad decided to wed near Los Angeles, they hoped to find an outdoor venue with the same whimsical vibe as Ashley’s childhood stomping grounds. :) The Malibu Nature Preserve was just that! While it’s located just off the Pacific Coast Highway, it feels miles and miles away from the typical LA venues.
Here’s what Ashley said, “I tried to foster an environment that was familiar and honest. So I used basic materials like paper, metal, wood, glass and cement as my base design elements for DIY projects. Found branches, pinecones and moss coupled with folksy patterned fabrics adorned the tables, adding texture and color.”
Thanks so much to Amanda K Photography for the lovely photos!
