Inspired by the effortlessly cool vibe of the West Coast surfer community during the 1970’s, this July 4th styled shoot is sure to bring lots of fun Americana ideas to mind. :) In small West Coast beach towns (such as Shell Beach, California where this shoot takes place), the 4th of July is one of the the most important holidays. Block parties are thrown, whole neighborhood streets are closed off, and people young and old get together to celebrate the birth of our nation. BBQs, bonfires, games, all american pride: this is a childhood memory that lingers in all beach community locals. Perfect inspiration for a couple that live a beachy lifestyle and want to combine their love for the surf as well as that special holiday memory they both hold dear to their heart for their big day! With this shoot the creative team (lead by photographer Danielle Capito + florist Twiggs Floral Studio) wanted to combine all those key elements to make a perfect nontraditional 4th of July wedding.
I hope you all have a wonderful July 4th holiday and spend time outdoors with your loved ones!

I’m a So Cal native, and I love using our natural surroundings as a background. Love those beach pictures! My favorite is the flag picture.
What great patriotic pictures! Love ’em!
What a great idea! Very well done!
the flag picture that’s last is awesome! good thinking, you guys :)
I love the idea of a 4th of July wedding. This one looked very casual and easy. I love the bride’s dress and her very relaxed expression. I don’t think she had any stress on her wedding day!
