An intimate wedding, with only a handful of your faves, is the perfect answer for couples who want to elope, but just can’t imagine doing so without their best friends and family by their side. You kind of get the best of both worlds, right? And we love that Krista + Addison were of that same thought processes when they planned their small wedding against the beautiful backdrop of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. As self-professed wanderers who enjoy every minute of planning their next adventure, these guys knew they wanted to tie the knot in an incredible location. Krista grew up taking family vacations to the Rockies, but Addison had never been, so she took the opportunity to share her most favorite state with her husband-to-be and together they planned an unforgettable, intimate destination wedding!
Addison and I are a very free spirited couple. We love nature and knew we wanted a peaceful scenic area where we could run away and do something different and out of the ordinary! So we made invitations to send to the friends and family that had very specific rules: No checking in on Social media. No telling anyone who you’re going out of town with and where and why. We wanted the day to be very intimate and about one another, and we feel social media can really take the excitement out of it sometimes. It was the most thrilling adventure. I think our family and friends having to keep it a secret was the hardest part, but they did it!
Love it so much! Big thanks to Levi Tijerina for the super pretty photos and congrats to Krista + Addison on a beautiful day that was exactly what they wanted!
The first look. Definitely the first look, we were in such close quarters getting ready that morning in a cabin across from Addison's and still hadn't seen one another. That moment leading up to me calling his name and him turning around to see me for the first time in a dress all done up was the most amazing moment ever! Having a minute to hug and breathe before the small ceremony was so great!
We adore all the warm tones in Krista’s pretty bouquet by Brigitte from Floral Design of Europe.
Doesn’t Krista’s David’s Bridal gown have the prettiest detailing on the bodice? And love her flower crown hairpiece by Amore Bride, too!
Such a fun shot of these two!
And be sure to check out the lovely film from Forget Me Not Media!
Well, I would tell everybody to have a secret destination wedding but then that becomes a trend and it's not so secret anymore Haha, there was no stress at all! We were engaged for a month and that was just enough time! I guess I would say to those considering eloping, DO IT! You won't regret it. And those who are planning a big wedding, don't stress and if you do, just look at your significant other and breathe for a minute, enjoy the time planning together.

Gorgeous! I’m always looking for Rocky Mountain elopement inspiration and this one did not disappoint!. Her bouquet was breathtaking!
I grew up visiting Estes Park too, and just like this bride — knew it would be the place my husband and I would marry! Love the laid-back vibe of this wedding.
Love this story! I was honored Krista chose me to design her flower crown for her Rocky Mountain Wedding! Michele
