Michelle Warren (the talented photographer behind this shoot) and Jessi (the gorgeous bride from this shoot) have been friends for a few years now and have collaborated on many shoots + weddings together. Jessi is a phenomenal makeup and hair artist. When it came time for Jessi’s wedding, Michelle was unfortunately already booked for another wedding so the two decided it would be fun to capture some Day After wedding photos. Such a great option for couples that might not have enough time for portraits on their wedding day – or in some unfortunate cases, when you get back your wedding photos and you don’t love them. :(
Jessi is inspired by old movies and hair from the forties and fifties. Her groom Curtis is passionate about music, fashion, and garage rock and mods of the sixties. They incorporated these interests into the style of the shoot that took place at the La Familia Ranch in San Luis Obispo, California. The gold features of the home’s interior – from flocked wallpaper to tarnished brass antiques – paired dramatically with plum and vibrant fuchsia. Thanks so much to Michelle for sharing these stunning photos with us and it’s a great reminder that if you don’t love your wedding day photos – or don’t have time for portraits on your wedding day – there is always the day (or month or year) after for a redo! :)
Congrats again to Jessi + Curtis and thanks to all the following wedding artists below!
