A wedding design inspired by one of my favorite stores?! Yes please! One of the many reasons I love today’s gorgeous wedding… Stacy loves the romantic, dreamy + whimsical vibe of the Free People stores and catalogs, so that became the inspiration for their wedding. A great tip to remember when starting to plan your wedding design is to think about your favorite stores and designers when looking for ideas – in fact, we shared this gorgeous wedding inspired by Anthropologie last year. :) With the help of the ultra talented Tori from Sitting in a Tree Events – um, can we just say how much we love every wedding Tori designs!! – Stacy + Adam were able to create their dream wedding. They went with neutral tones with different textures and added in pretty glasses from Casa de Perrin for some color.
A bit about the day from Stacy, I love things that are calm and peaceful, and I really felt like Tori captured all of these things so well in the overall look that we ended up with. Everyone came up to me afterwards to tell me, “Everything was just SO you!” We really loved how everything turned out.
Such a pretty, dreamy wedding! Big thanks also to Studio Castillero for the photos and congrats to Stacy + Adam!
For my gown, I knew Sarah Seven would be perfect. I picked my dress out in 15 minutes and knew it was the right one. I was able to go to her storefront in San Francisco and Sarah was so sweet and lovely! I felt like I was getting a dress made by an old friend. My hairpiece for the ceremony was a long necklace from BHLDN, which was draped through my hair.
We started out looking for an old oak tree in an intimate space, and came across Happy Trails. As soon as we walked into the garden for the first time we knew it was the place we would be married. The giant tree was so beautiful and the little garden it was in was perfect for us. My grandpa is one of my favorite people in the whole world. Having him walking me down the aisle was so special because of the bond that we have. He was so proud and full of joy, it was one of the best parts of the day.
Sitting back under the shade of the giant oak tree with my new husband, looking around and just feeling so loved by everyone we were surrounded by. Your wedding is one of the only times in your life that you will get to spend a night celebrating with all of the people that you love most in the world.
It was so fun to end the night being showered with love (in the form of confetti hearts!) by our friends and family.
And their lovely wedding film by Red Carousel Films.
Don't get too caught up in what everyone around you thinks a wedding is "supposed" to look like. If you can, hire an amazing wedding planner (like Sitting in a Tree!) or get some great friends to help make your vision come to life. Working with someone who I completely trusted and who really got my sense of style made the whole planning process really stress free. It was so fun for us to be able to walk into the venue on our wedding day and just relax and feel like everything was so "us". Also, find awesome photographers that you click with so that you can remember the day afterwards! We loved Rachel and Rico from Studio Castillero and really couldn't have asked for anyone better.
