If you love flowers, and we’re guessing you do, get ready to fall for today’s stunning Australian wedding, captured by Lara Hotz. Jenny + Ben weren’t afraid of the work involved with booking a blank venue space + making it their own. Choosing the right florist was key to their vision, though, since they wanted the setting to come alive through artful blooms + lots of lush greenery. Spoiler alert: Mikarla Bauer brought the beauty! Below, Jenny + Ben tell us more about their day:
Our venue was just a nice big empty hall on the water where we had to bring in absolutely everything in! This allowed us to do exactly what we wanted. The inspiration started with 1 pic of some macrame hangers with hanging flowers. Emily from Divine Events helped as bring it all to life! We knew we wanted something colourful with lots of greenery, fun, relaxed, casual but still stylish! We had everything the way we wanted it which refleced us as a couple. Just a laid back evening, with lots of dancing and good food!
We’re beyond in love with every last thing seen in that photo above! Let’s start with Jenny’s perfect dress, with a unique criss-cross front, from Lover. So perfect for a stylish bride! Her ‘maids wore floral + solid frocks from Reformation. And those punchy, bright bouquets by Mikarla Bauer tied everything together perfectly. Drinks at sunset in Clarkes point reserve after the ceremony with the most beautiful back drop and the dancing (our first dance + the DF which was going off!!)
