Fabric Bun Hair Tutorial

There are so many options when it comes to styling your hair for your big day. I’m pretty excited to share today’s beautiful (and unique) hair tutorial, sent over by the lovely Heather Chapman. An updated twist on the traditional bun, this look is timeless + romantic, but with textural + modern feel.

To get the look:

1. Begin with a perfect ponytail high on the head.

2. Cut enough of your favorite fabric or ribbon to hang about a foot & a half past the end of your ponytail. Here we have used a burlap ribbon. Tie the fabric evenly around your ponytail.

3. Braid the fabric into your ponytail. Rubber band at the end. There will be fabric hanging down past the hair. That’s ok. That part will soon be tied into the cutest bow!!

4. Wind hair into a topknot & pin. Make sure it lands where you would like to see the bow. Once everything is pinned in place, simply tie the loose ends into a bow of your liking. Voila! Polished princess!!
