Equestrian Winter Wedding Inspiration

With the holidays comes festive + pretty parties, winter weddings + celebratory moods all around. And today’s gorgeous editorial, designed by Going Lovely + captured by Delbarr Moradi Photography, inspires each of those things with an elegant + magical equestrian theme. The shoot was inspired after the gorgeous BHLDN wedding invitation suite on Wedding Paper Divas. The dusty blue scroll design determined the color story + mood, and the stationery had just the right amount of whimsy + elegance for the look the team was going for. Wedding Paper Divas also offered cocktail napkins and coaster favors, which complemented the invitation suite + helped the theme perfectly carry through to each lovely vignette.

PJ from Going Lovely shares, After seeing the invitation design we knew exactly the place and dream team to bring this magical equestrian winter shoot to life. Devine Ranch (in Aptos, California), a former equestrian ranch that now operates as a wedding venue as the perfect setting. The acres of rolling hills and the gorgeous horses that grace the property served as the perfect backdrop for our winter equestrian themed shoot.

It really is one of the prettiest invite suites we’ve seen!

Hana and Pine created the dreamiest florals for the shoot, and included fluffy peonies, flannel flowers + pretty cream roses into the bouquet.

The beautiful bride looked as elegant as ever in head-to-toe BHLDN. The Tamsin Gown, one of our faves, features an intricate embroidered bodice, with a beautiful tulle overlay on the skirt. And the jeweled Trickling Capelet and shimmery gold heels were the perfect accessories for polishing the look!

PJ, on the romantic tablescape, The dining table was covered in a beige linen accented with a billowy gray table runner. We set the table with vintage china and goblets from Frances Lane, and used brass candlestick holders and a romantic and textural floral centerpiece to complete the neutral, wintery look.

Edith Meyer designed a lovely and simple cake that was adorned in florals, and was displayed on a vintage farm table nestled under a beautiful weeping willow tree next to the barn.

Oh and we can’t forget Norman, the horse, who was the star of the show! He wore a gorgeous green garland around his neck and made a guest appearance during the bride and groom’s sunset portraits.
