Eclectic, Science-Inspired Carondelet House Wedding: Cindy + Chris

Cardondelet House wedding

Cindy + Chris knew exactly how to infuse their fun, quirky personalities into their wedding without letting the details stray away from being beautiful. The romantic, space + science-infused setting they created was the perfect match for a wintery evening at LA’s Carondelet House. Working with Cortnie of Canvas & Canopy Events + Lindsey from Eucca Floral Studio was pretty much a given – since those ladies know a thing or two about artful design. And we love how from the moment that their guests entered the space, they could tell right away that almost every inch of it was personalized to feel like a natural extension of the two of them!

More about the setting from Cindy, Chris and I share a love for all things science, animals (the weirder, the better), and humor. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and wanted more than anything for our wedding to be filled with warmth and laughter! We opted for an intimate, secret garden, old world science vibe with pops of quirky humor. we sprinkled animal doodles (thanks to my talented cousin), brass figurines, and masks throughout the wedding – in our programs, decor, floral arrangements, and even cocktails! We used science beakers as candle votives and astronomy prints as guest signing posters. Thanks to our extraordinary planner and florist, our eclectic taste and quirky interests came together cohesively, and they brought it to life so very perfectly.

Thanks so much to Max & Friends for the gorgeous photos + cheers to the newlyweds!

Since we met in Hawaii, we wanted to inject a bit of island flavor. We used Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of Over The Rainbow for the processional, said hawaiian vows, and our officiant wore a lei!
