Oh, how I love this! What started off as a gorgeous inspirational shoot turned into a real life proposal for cute couple Colleen + Justin! Photographed by Studio 222 Photography with styling by Tickled Pink Brides, the shoot itself was planned as an inspiration for a small beach ceremony. Love that the shoot feels very organic and slightly new age with hand painted gold stones, geometric shapes, broken open geodes, vintage china, colored glass goblets, and herbs mixed in with the florals – so pretty! When Studio 222 Photography asked Colleen + Justin to model, Justin secretly arranged to propose to Colleen during the shoot!
Love the gorgeous inspiration and especially love that Colleen + Justin have this moment documented!
Justin hid a bottle in the sand with a sweet love letter to Coleen. As she was reading it, he got down on one knee. She thought it was all part of the shoot so her face is priceless when she realizes he’s serious!
The pennants were a fun DIY. Using fabric that was tore into triangles, they then tied them around the tall wood pieces – which were just simple, unfinished moulding from the hardware store. Then each pennant was hand painted in blue and gold craft paint.
Imprint Cinema mic-ed the couple earlier in the day under the guise of using the shoot as an instruction video in the future on mic-ing couples – so they were able to capture the words exchanged during the proposal between Colleen + Justin. How sweet!
Gorgeous work from all the talented artists below and congrats to Colleen + Justin on their engagement!!
