Today’s engagement session is not only super sweet, but a bit personal to me since I used to work with the groom-to-be! Charles + Debbie are just about the sweetest couple ever. They are planning a fun + festive summer soiree at the Smog Shoppe for their nuptials. The have super cute nicknames for each other – Charles thinks Debbie looks like a mouse and Debbie thinks Charles looks like a squirrel, so they are designing their wedding around the concept of A Mouse and Squirrel’s Adventures! So super cute, right?!
With such a personalized wedding celebration in the works, their engagement session was not to be outdone. The session represents their proposal and Charles’ love of bikes (which is so true, he even bikes to work!). Charles + Debbie met in high school and for their first date, he took her hiking and picked a spot where they could watch the sunset. Ten years later, he took her back to that same spot and proposed! He planned a picnic with her favorite dessert (Sprinkles dark chocolate cupcakes) and inside the cupcake box was a note saying that Marvin, their yorkie, had a message for her. She picked up Marvin who was wearing a tag that was engraved, “Marry Me?” The drawing is something they sketched while in college, reminiscing about their first date. Surprisingly, Charles kept this sketch all these years and included it in the Sprinkles box when he proposed. It really doesn’t get any sweeter than that! Congrats Debbie + Charles!! So excited for you two cuties!! And big thanks to the super rad Amelia Lyon for the photos!
Congrats again Debbie + Charles! Can’t wait to share your wedding day later this summer!!
