DJ Your Wedding With Scratch Weddings

DJ your wedding with Scratch Weddings

A few weeks ago we hosted a super fun event with at the Scratch DJ Academy here in LA with Scratch Weddings. The Scratch Academy was co-founded by Jam Master Jay and is widely recognized as the world leader in DJ and music production education. They recently partnered with Scratch Weddings (both Scratch Weddings and the Scratch Academy are divisons of Scratch Music Group) to offer a super new and fun idea for couples that love music. Why not learn how to DJ before the wedding (at one of their classes) and then spin a bit during your wedding reception – super fun, right? Last month we invited 40 couples to come hang with us and learn how to scratch and I think all of us there can agree, it was a blast! I know Jason can’t stop talking about how rad it was – in fact, he is ready to sign up for another class! :) Big thanks to Dave Richards Photography for the photos + hanging with us all night!

While there we couldn’t help but think that learning how to DJ would be a super rad idea for a Bachelor or Bachelorette Party also! Right?! :)

They also have a fun record spin art idea you can do to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art! This would be a great idea for a wedding favor since you can put you wedding logo in the center or a fun graphic (and they do offer this for weddings if you book one of their DJs).

Thanks again to all the couples that came to scratch with us and to OneHope Wines for the wine for the evening. OneHope Wines donate half the proceeds of every bottle to charity and each type of wine represents a different cause! They also can customize the donation if there’s a certain charity the couple represents so that the proceeds go to that charity. Pretty neat, right? Also thanks to Cupcakes Couture of Manhattan Beach for the delicious cupcakes and the team at Be Inspired for helping plan the event.

Check out this rad video the team at Threaded Films put together from the event also. It shows a bit more about what they taught us and us all spinning!! And one more shout out to Scratch Weddings who gave one lucky GWS couple a FREE DJ for their wedding! I think we all learned that the DJs from Scratch Weddings really know how to keep your dance floor packed!
