Sydnee + Sam are total rockstars who wanted their big day to be artful, reflective of the two of them, and different than any wedding that had already been held at their gorgeous venue, The Villa in San Juan Capistrano, California. They decided on a woodsy-forest theme, with a focus on animals to pay homage to their beloved critter tattoos. While we love it all, we’re pretty much dying over the beautiful florals by Floral Occasions (Stacy Fitts from Floral Occasions is Sydnee’s mom!) and Sydnee’s crazy-pretty pink WTOO Olivia Gown! And wait until you see the sweet bunting + garland combo that served as their ceremony backdrop. Too cute!
Big thanks to Troy Grover Photographers for the beautiful photography + congratulations to Sydnee + Sam on an amazing day!
So love how the bridesmaid’s rich, burgundy dresses juxtapose beautifully with Sydnee’s pale-hued ensemble.
Sydnee - The ceremony. Right before I walked down the aisle, I had a conversation with my dad about how he helped build The Villa. I felt like all of my dad's work at The Villa was leading up to him being able to walk me down the aisle and that he “built my ceremony”.
Samuel – My most memorable moment started when I first asked David, Sydnee’s dad, to marry her. We were playing golf and he told me that when he was getting married, his best man wrote the words “help me” on the bottom of his shoes; a word on each shoe. So when the day of my wedding came around, David wrote “Help Me” on the bottom of my shoes!
Processional: Going to California – Led Zeppelin
Recessional: Darlin’ – J.Thoven (played live)
First Dance: Mtn Song – Rayland Baxter
First of all, if you need a longer engagement in order to get or have the things you want, do it. Don’t sacrifice things just because you want to get married right this second. Second of all, let the wedding professionals do what they do. You hired them because you like their work, so let them have their freedom to express their expertise.

The pale pink shade of the brides gown is really pretty, and the classic car was a great touch for photos.
Stunning wedding. I love the organic “earthly” look and all the wood makes it soo pretty!
Thank you so much Jen, for featuring my beautiful daughter Sydnee’s wedding to her sweet Sam. The day was perfect thanks to all of our amazing vendors, The Grovers, The Villa, Iva Lee’s, Eric, Michelle, Christine for her beautiful invitation suite, Kirsten and Nate Proffit singing “Going to California” while Sydnee walked down the aisle with her dad, and especially my staff for helping me to pull off doing the flowers while I was also trying to be a good MOB!
But I also wanted to thank Sydnee’s grandfather, Robert Fitts for coming all the way from Hawaii to continue our family tradition of him marrying all the kids and grandkids possible.
Thank you for such a pretty feature! Loved working with this incredible team!
Magnificent colors, details and theme.I am sure the couple has a great taste for everything it does.
Kudos!
I adore so much about this wedding! Especially the dashes of rich red in the color scheme – and the bride’s fabulous tattoos.
I think I’ve found my future wedding palette – blush and burgundy *sigh*
I want to live in this wedding! Magic! Stacey, you have outdone yourself. I am in awe!
That dress! I haven’t seen another I’ve loved this much- of course it’s custom made!
The Grooms rings is really unique thanks for sharing.
Every detail is so beautifully and perfectly done. The writings on the old glass and wood doors looks so unique and pretty.
Love the bridesmaid dresses – so unique.
Love the colors here.
