Bright French Styled Wedding Inspiration

couple

The inspiration for this shoot all started when Nessa of La mariée aux pieds nus was asked to create a custom suit for Faubourg Saint Sulpice. The suit has a mix of a gingham pattern, Liberty, bright red, and french blue. It turned out so stunning, that Nessa immediately thought this combo would be perfect to turn into a styled shoot “à la française”! From Nessa:

I thought it would be fun to create all the decor process starting from the groom, and show that you don’t have to fear mixing patterns with strong identity. In fact, it adds such a personal touch. Perfect for your wedding day if the pink/nude/pastels combo is not your thing – why not go with great bright colors! I added some dry goods as a reminder of my first job (I used to sell wool and buttons, and teach people how to knit) and some old little metal boxes and bottles I’ve found at the Paris flea market. I just live a few streets away from the flea market, so I love to go for a walk there on Sunday morning. Like the vintage dishes, or the cheese and wine placed on the table, I wanted to recreated what I imagine a meal would look like in an old french family house… It’s how I see a perfect wedding, a day with family and friends, chatting til the night with a glass of Bordeaux and a sweet strawberry pie…

Our model Sienna wore two dresses designed by Rime Arodaky. The lovely sleeves, the lace details in the back – everything in her dresses are so feminine and fresh. The blue groom suit mixed blue and red gingham pattern and a blue and red Liberty with pops of yellow for the inner parts. We also used this combination for the paper goods created by Nadege, from Nabe Fabric and the guest favors.

Marion, from Madame Artisan fleuriste created all the florals. We imagined something simple and bright. It all worked great in this beautiful venue in Normandy. Le manoir des Prévanches is just about an hour away from Paris, and it is such a lovely place to get married. The October fog in the morning gave way to the sunniest day of the week, and everything fell perfectly in place.
