Bohemian Mountain Farmhouse Wedding: Stephanie + Paul

Boho Chic Wedding

Stephanie, the gorgeous bride from today’s real wedding, admitted to us that before her big day she had little to zero knowledge about planning such a celebration. She relied on wedding blogs to help her navigate the wild + crazy world of nuptials and tells us, GWS was my main go to website for everything from wedding invitation etiquette, decor inspiration, sourcing vendors, etc. Reading about other real brides and their stories really gave me a sense of comfort and support. There’s a lot of decision making, planning, and coordinating involved, so It can be very overwhelming. Especially in the beginning…finding a dress, sourcing and booking all the vendors, sending out invitations (like in our case making the invitations ourselves), deciding on a menu, coming up with a cohesive theme and color palette for the decor and so on and so-fourth. It was truly a lifesaver to find a great source of inspiration I could access at any time, featuring such a broad range of unique and tasteful weddings.

We were so glad to hear that GWS could help + figure many of you may find yourselves overwhelmed by the process too. But as you can see in the absolutely beautiful images below by Jake and Necia Photography, Stephanie + Paul’s wedding turned out just gorgeously, and we have a feeling your wedding will, too!!

Rue de Siene Dress

Stephanie works in the fashion industry so you know her style is on point. She wore the amazing Rue de Seine “Cleo” dress from Lovely Bride (the first dress shop she visited), paired with sky high platforms from Free People.

We had our ceremony outdoors overlooking the mountain views at sunset to capture the golden hour light with 40 of our friends and family standing around us.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The entire day was incredible, but one of the most special moments to us was when we exchanged vows. It was such a pivotal moment. There is so much happening leading up to this point you kind of lose yourself in all the chaos. This becomes a moment of peace, intimacy, and of true realization of what this day represents for us as a couple. Having our families and friends witness our declaration of love and commitment to each other turned out to be a very emotional moment, it was by far the most special!

Boho Chic Wedding

We hosted a family style dinner set-up outdoors with rustic wooden farm tables with mix n’ match chairs, floral antique porcelain table wear, colorful glass goblets, hmong table runners, indigo tie dyed napkins, with the most beautiful centerpieces made up of wildflowers, pomegranates, purple artichokes, miniature apples, etc. all under twinkling market lights with a 3 piece acoustic band playing in the background in between two olive trees. We witnessed the most gorgeous sunset as we prepared to embrace the evening as darkness fell and revealed a spectacular star filled sky.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

We feel so proud of everything we accomplished together as a couple. Our wedding day came together so beautifully, it really felt like that day was meant to be. Although it can be extremely stressful and nerve wrecking at times, if given the chance, we would do it all over again. I believe that having the right group of vendors is the absolute key. We were incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with the most amazing vendors anyone could ask for! Every vendor was perfect for us. They understood our vision and showed an amazing sense of commitment and dedication. They all played such an integral part, it would have never been possible without everyone’s involvement and unconditional support. The biggest lesson for us was realizing we couldn’t control and tackle every single situation that arrises and that sometimes its best to just let it play itself out. It’s important to enjoy the entire process, the good and the bad, because at the end of the day it’s all a part of the experience. And honestly… the end result is so priceless it makes it ALL worth it
