A Whimsical Wedding Inspired By A Fairytale

Today I’m sharing some ideas from a fairytale, and probably not the typical fairytale you would think of to get wedding inspiration – it’s Shrek :) And mainly this super sweet song from the Shrek Forever After soundtrackDarling, I Do by Landon Pigg + Lucy Schwartz. Our friends at DreamWorks Animation sent it over to me thinking I’d love it – and they were right, I totally have fallen in love with this song! It would be so sweet for your wedding. Take a listen and I think you’ll agree :)

And then I thought it would be fun to put together some boards for a wedding inspired by this song and Shrek + Fiona – a whimsical wedding in the woods with some fairytale details! I think a green wedding dress would be such a fun + unique idea. A beautiful forrest, announce your marriage on a fun scroll and a flower girl in whimsical crown!

And what is more romantic than a bride on a horse!?

A crown of flowers would be so organic + whimsy. Gingerbread cookies as favors for your guests and lots of love – to last happily ever after.

What do you think? Do you love the song as much as I do? Anyone planning a fairytale wedding in the woods?

And my boyfriends dream is to work at dreamworks! he is an animator and dreamworks is up there on his list!
