What’s a skate + cake you ask? Well, Carrie + Pat live in Hawaii, but got married in California and were looking for a fun way to celebrate their wedding with all their friends in Hawaii who couldn’t make it to the wedding. What’s a fun creative couple to do!? How about putting back on your wedding clothes and throwing a Skate + Cake celebration! I love that they incorporated their love for skateboarding into the day – and it made for some great photos! Congrats you two and thanks to Mark at Holladay Photo for sending over their story and photos.

YAY! I'm so happy to see that this concept came out as AWESOME as the idea itself. My guy and I skateboard and planned on incorporating our boards in some way, so this batch of pics excites me to no end! I cannot wait to throw on my chucks and skate in my wedding gown. it's gonna be RAD.

I screamed when I saw this post, as a wedding planner in Hawaii Mark Lee is one of my most favorite photographers to work with, hes not afraid to do something out of the box, definitely worth clicking over to his blog! Congrats Mark!
The dress is from Mon Amie bridal salon in Costa Mesa, it was originally strapless and their seamstressmade the sleeves with fabric from the bottom of the original dress. The dress really helped make the shoot.
This is uber cool. I can remember Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry on these photos. They are very impeccable shots. Thanks.
