A Rustic Fall Engagement Party

I love this intimate, rustic engagement party thrown recently to celebrate love and the coming of fall. It was sent over to me from Victoria at City Cradle Design who came up with the concept + design for Devyn and A.J.’s celebration. And thanks to Jackie Wonders for capturing the event. :)

The party was help outdoors in a woodsy space and old crates were stacked high to make a table for the party goods. We used glass bottles in dark colors and clear ones tied with twine to create a rustic warm feeling for our flowers. Goodies consisted of fall inspired treats: apples with melted caramels, malt balls, cinnamon rolls, ginger snap cookies, and a cake with homemade LOVE boxes popping from the top & rich fig wine. The centerpiece of the design was a glossy white deer head that we roped up to the tree, it was a lovely contrast to the rustic environment of the party.

Placed throughout the party space were homemade fabric lined crates- an idea inspired by Anthroplogie’s fall look book- they were very easy to make and added a lovely handcrafted feel to the event. They hung from shelves in the trees and held a overflow of apples to snack on. We used herbs to bring in the fresh aroma of fall and to help our guest’s know where to find their seats around the fire. Each guest had a seat circled around the fire pit to roast their apples and enjoy stories of love from the newly engaged couple.

How cute are these apples with caramel roasting packages?!

The bride-to-be loves the outdoors so this party was the perfect celebration to prepare for her big day!

Thanks so much for sharing this lovely party with us! So much inspiration for anyone planning a rustic fall party. :)
