Last weekend I was invited to a California Christmas party along with some of my other favorite designers + bloggers. Hosted by Leila Khalil of Be Inspired PR and photographed by none other than Leo Patrone, it was such a fun way to start the holiday season! I think there are so many great ideas for a party of your own, so I wanted to share some photos + details of the party here. :)
We started the party off with yummy holiday cocktails (Icicle Mint Mojitos with candy “icicle stirrers” and Jingle Berry on the rocks) among those cute succulent trees dreamed up by the lovely Cortnie of Canvas and Canopy.
Then it was off to create our signature holiday scent at the scent station by Kamilyin. Mine was a mix of brown sugar + vanilla + fig! We created a body scrub, hand soap, and lotion.
Wiley Valentine created all the lovely paper details for the party and the fabulous florals were by Carissa of of JL Designs. How perfectly festive is the table below? Such a great dinner set-up. The table was from Found Vintage Rentals and we all decided we wanted the table in our homes. :) We are so lucky to live in a place where our dinner could be outside!
I just loved the table with the mix of succulents, balsa flowers, coral, red peonies, tillandsias and then the pretty hanging chandelier!
All of us enjoying a toast! The food from Contemporary Catering was delicious. Some of the lovely guests included Amanda from 100 Layer Cake, Summer from Grey Likes Weddings, Jesi Haack, Jenn from Hostess with the Mostess, Anne from Rue Magazine, Lucia from Utterly Engaged as well as all of those who created the amazing party listed in the vendor list at the end. Such a fun night with great conversation + funny stories!
The dessert table by Cupcakes Couture featured mint macarons, hot chocolate cupcakes, gingerbread cupcakes and more!
And then we were given the chance to get our own holiday glow at a special tanning station. :) Yep, Danielle from Plush Tan was their to give us a summer glow. It was my first ever spray tan and it was a bit weird to get naked in front of someone you just met, but the results were so fab! I woke up the next morning with a perfect sun kissed tan! :) It would be so great for your wedding to get rid of any weird tan lines for your strapless dress or just for a gorgeous glow. And we can’t forget the cutest puppy ever – Bossy! She was the star of the night + makes me really want a puppy like her for Jason + I!
Thanks to Leila and her team for inviting me to such a fun Christmas party! It really was the perfect way to start the holiday season off. :)
