A Fun Camping Engagement Session

This couple makes me want to pack up the car and head north for some camping with my hubby! A bit about the couple from the photographer, Shannen Norman: Lauren and Brian are high school sweethearts that came down from Washington to Southern California to go to college together. They broke up during their sophomore year but couldn’t help from getting back together the following summer. Ever since then they were on the steady road to marriage. These two have amazing chemistry that can’t help but reveal itself in the photos…seriously, look at the way that they look at each other! The shoot location was chosen because it couldn’t be more perfect for them. We drove up in the local mountains as they really are the laid back Washintonians that fit perfectly in that type of environment…pipes that they use on occasion, a plaid blanket that was in the back of Brian’s car, and a pup tent completed the ‘extras’ of the shoot.
I think many couples can take note from a shoot like this…find an environment, bring “props”, and wear clothes that tell YOUR STORY, that speaks volume about you and the one you’re spending the rest of your life with. There’s plenty of gorgeous places to take photos but what is going to bring back memories when you look at the photos twenty years down the road? I couldn’t agree more Shannon!
