I’ve been coming across quite a few brides lately who have made their own vintage brooch bouquet or purchased one. I love this idea since you can incorporate family brooches into your bouquet. Maybe your grandmother has some she would be willing to lend/give you. I know when my grandmother passed away a few years ago, she left all the grandchildren some of her brooches and I’ve been wondering what to do with them – this would have been such a great idea! I also heard from another bride that she asked all her friends + family to each send her a brooch. She then took all the brooches they sent and created her own bouquet from them. The day of her wedding everyone could see their piece in her bouquet – so sweet! You could also check out thrift stores or ebay to find some to match your color palette. I really loved how Britt’s mother also incorporated feathers into her’s as seen in the wedding I shared this morning by the Last Forty Percent Photography.

There are also some designers out there who will create one of these pieces of art for you! Amanda at Fantasy Floral Designs credits herself as the original creater of the brooch boquet and she can create one of her lovely bouquets for you.
I’m also totally in love with the whimsical beauty of the bouquets created by Noaki Jewelry.
Are any of you thinking of carrying a brooch bouquet for their wedding? It definitely is unique in that you really can keep your wedding bouquet forever!
I actually won my bouquet from another blog’s giveaway. It’s by Noaki Jewelry. To all you ladies out there considering doing this — I can’t recommend Noaki enough! She is great to work with and so down to earth. My bouquet, hairpiece, hairpiece for my sister, and earrings for my mother are headed my way soon and I can’t wait to see them in person. Her photo updates have had me breathless! :) My prize covered my bouquet and my hairpiece but her stuff is so amazing and unique (and oh so classy beautiful) that I HAD to buy the other pieces too! :)
♥ these!! i have a bride doing this for her april wedding.. can’t wait to shoot it!
My mom actually made mine for me! I love it! I think my bouquet stole the show!

Wow!
Oh how lovely! I think they are such a beautiful and simple idea, my problem would be finding all the brooches!
That’s what thrift shops are for. :-)
YEP! I am getting married in Vegas (not an Elvis chapel wedding… still a wedding but in Vegas) and it is small with just our very close family. Since I have so many family and friends that cannot be a part of it, I am asking them all to send me one so that they can be there with me in spirit!
I love this idea! I’ll be filling in the rest of the bouquet with brooches from my mom and grandma’s collections!
My husband and I got married in Africa this past summer. Since there weren’t many flower options, I was lucky enough to have a brooch bouquet made by Amanda from Fantasy Floral. I, too, had family and friends give brooches, and they loved it because they felt like they were part of the wedding even if they weren’t there. I definitely recommend if for destination brides!
I absolutely love this idea and I am trying to collect brooches from my family and friends! Any suggestions on a polite way to ask?
Such a gorgeous and meaningful alternative to a traditional bouquet of flowers. Love it! Would it be bad to have more than one bouquet?
love the brooch bouquet. such a unique idea. definitely stands out.
This is a FABULOUS idea :) I LOVE it!!
Love it! I love using vintage jewelry in the pieces that I make. I have been collecting vintage jewelry and trinkets for years and finally decided to use some of my pieces in the bridal accessories. I use not only brooches, but also earrings, and bits of bracelets, necklaces and such to create new “old” vintage chic items. I use the jewelry bits as accents so the entire piece is not quite as heavy. I have had rave reviews thus far!
oooo I’ve been hearting alternative bouquest for a while now! LOVE them!!!

Wow!!!! These are amazing. I love it.
I will actually be carrying one of these at my own wedding. When I started planning my wedding I decided if I had to spend that much money on a bouquet I wanted something that would last. Then I came across Fantasy floral Designs and contacted Amanda. I have all my brooches collected from the last year of traveling as well as some from family and friends. I am excited to see the finished product and to show it off at my wedding.
I totally love broach bouquets. It’s such an amazing way to bring some heritage into your special day, not to mention gorgeous! The last photos you show were from a shoot we did with Jessica Claire http://alchemyfineevents.com/weddings/world-on-a-string/ and I can tell you that that bouquet was even more gorgeous in person! Noaki had soft velvety fresh leaves around to soften it up as well. Perfection!
im adoring this post!!! thanks for the inspiration!!!
What’s that dress on the last 2 images? This looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g!
The last dress is by designer Joan Shum – So gorgeous!!

I found that the best/cheapest place to purchase brooches is Ebay…just keep your scheme in mind or you could get in trouble! I am now the proud owner of at least 15 brooches that won’t make it into the bouquet…hmmm now to brainstorm alternate usage.
One of our brides had a brooch bouquet made from her grandmother’s brooches. It was the first time I had seen that. Absolutely stunning… http://www.sixfourteenphotography.com/?p=594 Here are a few pics.
I love this idea! It is green and makes a great memento from the wedding
My mom has been a florist for over 15 years and just
recently saw these at a bridal show and started making them
herself. http://www.myfantasyflorals.com/apps/etsystore/ I think it
is such a great way for a bride to have something totally unique,
but also something they could possibly pass down to future brides!
Love the idea, so creative and different!
I just had a wedding this past weekend where the bride used her grandmothers vintage locket and had it pinned to her bouquet. It really added a special touch to her lovely day. I love this idea and trend! I think it is fantastic!
Just Beautiful!
There’s something about this tutorial that just makes you go “awwwww.” It’s such a nice idea. And you can even incorporate special pieces from your own jewelry. An heirloom perhaps.
just a tip for those wanting to make one.I made one for my bff and we just posted on fb that we need any unwanted jewelry.Doesent HAVE to be brooches rings work fabulous as well.plus we custom made brooches with old earings and random peices.out of 80 brooches used only 37 were accual brooches

Such a lovely way to incorporate a touch from loved ones who cannot attend the service in person. And certainly a way you could keep your wedding bouquet “forever” and perhaps pass it on to a daughter, as we used to do with christening gowns. But I have to wonder, what about the old tradition of throwing the bouquet to the bride’s unmarried friends? I’d hate to see some poor girl blinded by a stray crystal! LOL Could some creative soul design a fresh-flower bouquet that incorporates the jewelry bouquet as a removable center? Then a bride could keep the old tradition and help start this new one, too.
I am in love with this last pic and her wedding dress. i CANNOT FIND IT ANYWHERE. please I’m desperate, please please please let me know where she might have gotten it. if you know of course.
Seriously Thanks if I can find this dress.
I have fallen in the love with all the brooch bouquet shared by you. Love the second bride dress. Can any one know where she purchased the same?
Just Beautiful!
