It’s the perfect cocktail recipe for one rad vow renewal: a desert destination + a bespoke dress + one fab couple in love. Garnish with some ultra-romantic flowers and throw it all back with a photo (or two) for the memories!
While Anh + Kim longed to celebrate their one-year anniversary with something more intimate than their wedding, florist extaordinaire, Karole, of Josefa and photographer, Jérémy Boyer, were scheming an “on the road” themed shoot, set in Spain’s Bardenas Reales desert region. What followed was a serendipitous + perfect opportunity for both Anh + Kim and Karole + Jérémy!

Fun fact about Las Bardenas Reales: it plays home to a certain Dothraki queen’s dragons. Yep, Game of Thrones was filmed here!

THAT DRESS! Anh wore a custom dress by Puyan Saheb Djavaher, one of Jérémy’s former clients. We actually featured her wedding here on GWS and absolutely loved her own hand-dyed floral gown.
The king protea was the star of Josefa‘s romantic bouquet design but we’re also loving all the unique little details surrounding the blooms!
Kim was outfitted in a black suit and shoes from ASOS.
We got married in 2016, an incredibly joyful and emotional moment for us. We made it a party with all our friends and family in the Pyrénées Mountains—it was amazing!
But we still had the desire to celebrate in another special way: just the two of us, in a very unique place. We thought about it for a few months and then luck struck: Jérémy and Karole were searching for a couple to photograph for a vow renewal shoot in the Bardenas Reales in Spain. We absolutely loved the idea and it was our chance! The place seemed magical.
The day was perfect. Tears were shed, smiles and laughs were exchanged. We now have our very special memory, in addition to the big celebration with all the people we love.
