Urban-Glam Dallas Wedding: Sarah + Tyler

Glam Urban Dallas Wedding

When the amazing photog behind today’s fun wedding (Lauren W Photography) said Sarah + Tyler’s celebration made her feel like she had stepped back into an old hollywood party with a stylish, modern twist, we were all ears and ready to see more. S + T have been together for years, but planned their epic Dallas wedding in a matter of months. Two months to be exact! The setting was filled with sparkle, donuts and lots of geodes. And while it doesn’t take much to get us aboard the geode train, Tyler’s family is in the mineral + geode biz, so it made to total sense to include them into the design. Pretty rad, right?

Evco Events pulled all those aforementioned details together like a pro and Iva’s Flower Shop crafted the prettiest dusty miller bouquets for the ladies. In a nutshell, this wedding couldn’t be sweeter. Let’s take a look…

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Tyler subconsciously attempted to kiss me right after my dad gave me away. I held my hand up and said something to the effect of, "You can't ... [kiss me] yet!!!" Our guests laughed and it ended up being a good way to begin the ceremony with ease.

Their getaway car was Tyler’s gorgeous 1968 Ford Mustang…which just so happens to also be his everyday car! Fun!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Tyler and I planned our wedding in two months – exactly two months – September 1st to November 1st. We enjoyed every minute of it. Every spare moment was an opportunity to get something done for our big day. We didn't have time to second guess ourselves over minute details. I appreciated that fact a lot once it was all over. Looking back it is so cool to have seen our efforts and style on display for our family and friends to experience.

My advice would be to stick with your own style. Pinterest is either extremely helpful or extremely hurtful to your wedding. Try and think through designs and details on your own, with your mother/grandmother/aunt/etc, and your husband before pinning 500 random ideas that will clutter and distort your vision. Less is more. Decide on a loose theme and do not stray from it.
