This Boho Baltimore Wedding Was a Dog Lover’s Dream

Everyone, meet Charlie + Max!!

These two VERY good boys are beloved canine companions to Erin + Jared who tied the knot in Baltimore last October. Naturally when they began planning their wedding day this bride and groom wanted to include their pups in every cute and creative way they could. The couple carved out time before the ceremony for a special first look with their precious poodles, and throughout the day Charlie + Max were the stars of details like cocktail napkins, specialty cookies, and custom socks.

Design-wise, Erin + Jared were excited to be getting married at The Dye House at Mt. Washington Mill amidst the changing colors of Fall in Maryland and wanted to weave that seasonal vibe into their day. They also found so many sweet and subtle ways to make their wedding feel personal like little nods to their shared love of T-Swift or the national parks they’ve visited together.

Planner LynnAaron Nichols from Nouvelle Weddings collaborated with the couple to create their dreamy, Autumn-inspired boho celebration, and photographer Sarah Brookhart was there to capture all the fall festivities.

This beautiful, earthy invitation suite is the work of Ruby the Fox. Obsessed with the dried flower illustrations on the envelope liner!

Charlie + Max (and Erin!) made an appearance on Jared’s custom socks. Loving the idea?? Create a personalized pair of your very own!

How heavenly are Erin’s Loeffler Randall Camellia Pleated Bow Heels?! We love the textured shine of this statement shoe. There’s a reason these are among our faves.

Erin’s gorgeous gown by Galia Lahav wasn’t the one she expected to love. In fact she came into the process with eyes for a different dress. But when she put this boho beauty on she just knew. “I loved that it was romantic and soft and not a stark white,” Erin says. “It’s good to go in with an idea of what you want, but also stay open to trying on different styles—I’m glad I did, because I ended up loving a different dress more!”

These bridesmaid dresses from Azazie in a subtle neutral are the perfect combo of cohesive and unique.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now
From Erin: This is easy to say now, but honestly, try not to get stressed by all of the small details. It's also easy to do when you have an amazing planner (LynnAaron Nichols from Nouvelle Weddings) helping you--highly recommend a planner! Seriously though, I tried to not worry as much about the things I'll never remember about the day. I let the bridesmaids pick whatever style bridesmaid dress and shoes they wanted to wear (they know best what they feel good in!). I let them pick how they wanted to style their hair and makeup. My nails (I did them myself!). I think that helped us to look forward to the weekend rather than caring about every last minute detail of everything.

Jared’s classic black tux is from Cy’s, and that dried flower boutonniere is the perfect autumnal touch.

Erin’s elegant updo (so perfect with her dress’s delicate neckline!) and glowy natural makeup look were created by Fleurt Beauty Company.

The Ceremony

The calligraphy on this rustic wood-and-copper welcome sign was done by the talented Lynne Cipollone.

Okay, can we talk about these flowers?! Abundant florals were a priority for bride Erin, and Wander + Whimsy created an absolutely breathtaking boho wonderland out of pampas grass, stunning white roses, and accent blooms in all sorts of warm fall colors.

Those beautiful warm up-lights along the walls are the lighting creation of Event Dynamics. And we cannot get enough of the way that working Spanish moss into the cafe lights adds SO much dreamy, earthy character and texture!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding
From Erin: Looking out at all of our friends and family during the ceremony--it was the best feeling! Also, Jared and I celebrating our wedding day with champagne out of personalized "champbongs" with BRIDE and GROOM on the front!

The Reception

Absolutely enchanted by this rustic seating chart idea!! Guests found their tables by searching the shelves of earthenware, glass, and wooden plates, jugs, and bottles for their names.

Peep the personal touch! This plate featured a Taylor Swift lyric from the couple’s first dance song, “Lover.”

Tabletop and furniture rentals by Something Vintage added natural wood touches and warm fall tones that fit perfectly with the harvest vibes of these towering floral centerpieces.

Each table number featured a national part Erin + Jared have adventured in together!

Mismatch tinted glassware and woven wicker placemats brought the boho energy to these tablesacpes.

Linens by Select Event Group completed the natural look with white textured cotton napkins and subtly patterned tablecloths.

Custom cookies from Sugar Rex and specialty cocktail napkins featuring everyone’s favorite poodles, Charlie + Max!!

This two-tiered beauty of a wedding cake from caterers Copper Kitchen is the hight of stunning simplicity. And that dried floral accent is perfection!

Let’s hear it for the second look!! Erin finished the night right in feathers, sequins, and custom comfy slippers!! (Also, how romantic is this blurry flash photo?! This is a wedding trend we love to see.)
