Supermoon Party

Supermoon Inspiration

Juxtaposing the natural and organic elements of the earth, with the luxe and magical quality of the moon – this Supermoon Party is otherworldly. A supermoon occurs when a new or full moon coincides with perigee – which is the moon’s closest point to Earth during its monthly orbit – this results in the moon appearing especially large + bright in the night sky. And the next one is coming up – on Sunday, Oct 16th! Perfect reason for a party, right?!

The event planner, Tribe Design and Events shares We drew inspiration from the natural and mystical, the earthly and celestial. The ethereal nature of the moonlit experience is grounded by the presence of naturally occurring elements of rock, bone and wood, creating a physical space filled with intangible universal energy.

With imagery Abby Lorenz Photography, there’s no doubt that you’ll be inspired.

No blooms for this party – instead they opted for succulents and greens found by the seaside, all by Copper Penny Flowers.

The multicolored salts are a reference to the seaside. One of the salts was an alder smoked sea salt that brought a smoky aroma – so when you approached the table, you were reminded of a beach bonfire.

Striking but elegantly simple gold utensils bridged the gap between luxury and simplicity…The addition of the antlers + antique goods from Bowerbird & Friends kept the event beautifully grounded.

Oversized white ceramic bowls and square nesting salt dishes brought an elegant tranquility to the table’s layered complexity.

Chef Aran from Saltbox Kitchen designed a menu of both land + sea – with each course pairing perfectly with a cocktail from West Concord Wine and Spirits. They even started the meal with a shot of agave Tequila!

A mix of turquoise, gold and lavender geodes, contrasted by the draped silk tablecloths creates such a beautiful duality.
