Rustic Winter Vow Renewal with a Pine Needle Skirt

Rustic Holiday Inspiration

We’ve got some majorly festive + fun inspiration for you today! And we mean FESTIVE. The dream team behind this styled vow renewal shoot (of real couple Josephine + Sebastian) captured some serious holiday elements: a winter wonderland, plaid accents, gingerbread cookies, and even a pine needle skirt. Yes, you read that right — a full skirt made of fresh pine needles by Something Blue Floral Design! The team embraced the chilly weather of Prince George, BC (it was a whopping 3 degrees Fahrenheit the day of this shoot!!), and celebrated the fresh dusting of snow that coated the ground.

Caity, the photographer, shares The idea of the live pine skirt was sort of a collaboration between myself and the florist. Something Blue Floral Design completed the skirt around her just before we went outside for the photos! It was pretty darn cold that day, so Josephine wore fleece leggings underneath!
