Lindsay + Thatcher fell in love amid rough waters. Yep, Thatcher was Lindsay’s tour guide on a family river rafting trip! Their love story inspired a woodsy rustic wedding full of canoes, lots of DIY with hand-sewn napkins of every color, homemade granola (honey bunches of love) and an escort card table to look like a mini mountain scape and river with happy trail signs to take guests to their tables. Thus created their theme “A River Runs Through It” beautifully designed by Amorology Weddings and captured by Jill Thomas Photography.
I’m pretty obsessed with Lindsay’s’ gorgeous bouquet by Twigg Botanicals. The bouquet included red viburnum berries, daisy chamomile, maidenhair fern, ranunculus, bouvardia, lisianthus, Juliet and Star 200 roses, and lavender Japanese anemones.
An intricate table of moss and pebble filled crates and assorted flora was created to mimic the river on which the couple first met. Guests were encouraged to “find the trail to their seats” by locating their names on trail marker cards for each table.
At each place setting was a homemade gift for the guests packaged by the bridal party a few days before the wedding: granola in burlap-topped jars with two tags, one with the newlyweds’ initials and the other reading “honey bunches of love.” Another sweet DIY touch? Lindsay sewed all the dinner napkins herself from six colorful fabrics.
Big congrats to Lindsay + Thatcher! We love when couples infuse so much of their story into their day. :)

One of the best rustic themed weddings Ive seen. Love the decor and details and the photographers vintage style really brought out their theme
So lovely, and so colorful. I love her dress and whoever did her hair did such a wonderful job matching it with the dress!
Beautifully done! I LOVE the theme and how well they pulled it off in every aspect of the wedding! That paddle with their initials is amazing; anyone know where they found that!? Absolutely amazing! Not to mention they both looked wonderful! Love it!
What a fun colourful wedding! Love the flowers!
Kathy
The paper details are SO pretty! Love all the flowers, too… gorgeous color palette!
