There are so many things I love about this wedding – the fun collection of bridesmaids dresses, the gorgeous ceremony space created of paper flowers + pinwheels, the kite guestbook, I could go on! Lauren is a fellow Green Wedding Shoes reader and found lots of ideas here, so I’m super excited to share her wedding today. From Lauren, I always knew I wanted a colorful, whimsical wedding. I had collected A LOT of inspiration from GWS and other wedding blogs. Jesi Haack took all of my ideas to the next level! Thanks to Ashley Rose Photography for the gorgeous photos!
Most memorable moment of your wedding day? Walking down the isle was my favorite moment of the day. Jesi turned the ceremony space into a magical fairy land. Walking into that beautiful space towards the love of my life was the most amazing moment of my life. Also, Jeff and I picked music that really meant something to us. I walked down the isle to “Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap. It was so much more meaningful than walking to some classical music that the DJ picked. And it was fun!
Music and food are really important to me and my husband. We put so much thought into the music that was played and I am so glad we did because our guests really noticed. I had known from the start I didn’t want to get married somewhere that was going to serve my guests banquet food. Monrose made fried chicken, baked beans, corn bread and mac n cheese. There was also a slider and french fry station. Our guests were raving about the food for days!
Any advice for those planning now? Hire a wedding planner. NO. Hire JESI HAACK to be your wedding planner. I was so calm the morning of my wedding because I knew I had an amazing person I trusted to take care of absolutely everything.
Stunning wedding you guys! So fun and love the creativity of your day. Congrats to Lauren + Jeff!

I’m getting married May 2013 in NJ and would love to include some off those giant paper flowers hanging from the middle of the alter! Anyone know how to make them or is there a tutorial?
