Inspired by a frosted, naked wintery landscape, today’s editorial echoes those organic, neutral vibes that seem to be a tell tale sign of winter. Planned + designed by Michaela of Hey Look, and photographed by Petra Veikkola, the setting is filled with modern, industrial details with a slight hint of glamor. Michaela tells us, The setting of the Orangerie was perfect for our shoot. A historical building with a slightly industrial feel. Naked white walls and gorgeous large windows letting in all of the rare winter sunlight. A simple space like this is perfect for creating a stunning organic wedding setting with natural ingredients.
Are you as in love with this bridal look as we are? A cashmere sweater, paired with a full, tulle skirt is the perfect choice for a winter celebration. This look includes pieces from Ninka Trilogia Collection + Hugo Boss, but for more options, check out J.Crew for cozy cashmere and BHLDN or Space46 Boutique for dreamy tulle skirts!
The table setting is simple and down to earth. Solid dishware and glasses and natural linen napkins are set on old farm tables. Silk runners bring in texture and elegance. Centerpieces are arranged in contemporary concrete vessels, bringing a modern edge to this casual setting. We imagine an intimate, family style wedding dinner bringing guests close together. Seasonal, local ingredients in a farm to table, hearty winter meal.
The florals, also by Hey Look, included foraged twigs, dried flowers and greenery as well as foliage from potted plants. Naked winter twigs, paired with elegant blush garden roses, gave an organic feel to each, whimsical arrangement.
Aan Tafel’s cakes are made from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Our cake table is styled simply and organically. The cakes are scarcely decorated with lichen found in the forest, winter fruits and greenery. All of the cakes are bursting with seasonal flavors, rich and delicious: from chocolate chip layer cake with bourbon caramel frosting, over baked apple with mascarpone to a spiced pumpkin cardamom cake. We styled the table to look effortlessly casual with an array of flowing natural linen and silks. We collected silver moss-covered natural twigs to install above the cakes, drawing the eyes organically to the deliciousness below.
So dreamy, right? A big thanks to the talented team below for sharing their work with us today!
