Organic Botanical Floral Inspiration

Did you catch our first editorial of the day? If not, you should most definitely backtrack to see some gorgeous bridal fashion inspiration. Next up, a beautiful styled shoot that’s all about another one of our favorite pieces of the wedding puzzle: florals. Janie of JM Flora Design (and The Bride’s Cafe!) must have known the way to our hearts when she styled this lovely editorial, inspired by a backyard garden and a spool of blue ribbon. The florals you’ll see, captured on camera by Alisandra Photography, incorporate some truly perfect colors and textures for fall (and thankfully Janie shares some of the names of the unique blooms she used a bit later in the post!). We know we’ll be pinning some of these pretties for our upcoming holiday tables + to share with friends who are getting married in the cold weather months. What about you?

From Janie, Our “Let Love Grow” photoshoot was created to provide perfect inspiration for the bride who sees herself walking down the aisle barefoot – at an indoor or outdoor venue. Our beautiful florals set the tone of our shoot, showcasing bright color and backyard greenery. The bouquet was wrapped in Silk and Willow’s plant-dyed silk ribbon, providing an organic and elegant finishing touch to this wildflower-inspired bouquet.

The bouquet and floral crown showcased an eclectic mix of florals – baby eucalyptus, ranunculus, thistle, Snow on the Mountain, Matsumoto aster, rice flower, tansy, astilbe, and coleus – that added pops of color and a delightful brightness, seamlessly contrasting our bride’s incredible curls and lacey, bohemian gown. We love how the editorial evokes touches of a garden’s organic beauty in a crisp, simple setting.

Thanks so much, Janie, for the beautiful floral inspiration! Are any brides-to-be carrying a bouquet or wearing a flower crown with a similar aesthetic? Whether similar or different, we’d love to hear about your floral design plans + inspiration!
