New Wedding Decor Collection from Michaels

New Wedding Decor Collection from Michaels

Crafty couples, you’re gonna love this! Everyone’s fave craft supply store, Michaels, has just released an entirely new wedding collection – complete with invitations, décor, wedding favors and more! Super quick translation: wedding design projects have just gotten a huge helping hand!

The GWS gals got a fun chance to play with a few of their newly released products (think favor boxes, photo booth props + more) which are all available online. And Michaels also has a new update of wood products that are perfect for making unique, personalized signs and décor at your wedding, rehearsal dinner or reception! We featured two ultra easy DIYs below using the new and improved wood product – available in stores this week!

Succulent table number

Our first DIY is perfect for a modern wedding (and even MORE perfect for a Palm Springs celebration, we think!). Using one of Michaels’ stylish wood table numbers, we crafted a numbered centerpiece with a simple pot, a little spray paint, a succulent + some peach-hued rocks.

To get this look, spray paint a terracotta garden pot (available at home improvement stores or online here) gold. Add some visual interest if you’d like by color-blocking the vessel with a contrasting stripe. Simply cover the majority of the pot with paper + painters tape and spray paint the exposed area a different color.

Next, plant your succulent + fill the top with rocks or pebbles. Place your table number in and you’re ready to go!

Michaels photobooth props

If you’re planning on having a photo booth + are collecting some fun props for it, definitely check out Michaels’ selection! How fun are these vintage-inspired black + white finds? We’re betting those chat + thought bubbles would produce some pretty hilarious photos!

Michaels favor boxes with macaroons

It’s always fun to send your guests off with a little token to remember the day! Michaels has some pret-ty adorable gift box options, but these ones (above) are probably our fave! Assembling a sweet favor is super easy. Just fill the boxes with two colorful macarons, tie with some yarn + boom! Your favors are taken care of :)

Bride Sign with flowers

We wanted to use another piece from Michaels new wood products collection + a chair sign seemed like the perfect idea! If you’ve got calligraphy skills, this would be the perfect DIY for showcasing them! If not, there are plenty of templates or printables that can help you out! Simply add your text to the sign + decorate with fresh (or faux) florals. We secured some fresh blooms, that we knew would hold up for a bit, using a hot glue gun.

Aren’t the two pieces we chose from Michaels’ new and improved wood collection super cute? Loving!
