If you caught yesterday’s Sleepy Hollow wedding inspiration, get ready for another beautiful take on the very same theme. The talent behind this editorial, photographer, Megan Robinson, and designer, Leslie Dawn Events, wanted to put a dark, moody spin on a wedding scene to inspire couples whose aim is to do something different for their big day. Halloween weddings are more popular than one might think, and we’re sure this stunning shoot will share lots of great ideas for anyone with a 10.31 wedding date!
Leslie says, I was inspired by the fall colors that accompanied the theme of Sleepy Hollow. It made me think of eating apples on a crisp fall day mixed with the mystery of the classic Halloween bedtime story. I loved the elegance that this time period carried and wanted to incorporate that into a modern wedding. I used a color palette of Dark Lavender, Black, deep plum, mossy green, and a mixture of red and orange with pops of gold. The elegant Black gown matched by our model’s windswept hair and makeup added to the smoky and moody quality I was envisioning. I wanted to mix the old farm feel with modern elements to portray this hauntingly beautiful concept that is Sleepy Hollow.Â
Sax Romney brought their a-game with the wild, vibrant florals. Perfect inspiration for brides who want to go with a darker, super textural floral plan.
We’re pretty into that black sequin gown from Gateway Bridal! Are any brides-to-be wearing black for the big day?
Such an elegant fall tablescape. We’re definitely going to pin a few ideas for holiday party inspiration!
