Are you a big fan of boho stylings? What about all things modern? Well, here at GWS we certainly are, so the moment we saw Christin + Jordan’s nuptials at Millwick in Downtown LA, our jaws dropped!
Replete with painted palm fronds and tons of textured florals, the lush floral installations brought a ton of bohemian flair to the otherwise modern day. Their event designer, Laura of Fawn Events tells us: Our palette consisted of black, white, olive, and pops of neutrals and we incorporated this throughout every detail from the romantic outdoor ceremony to the contemporary reception inside and everything in between. Being sure not to overpower the already amazing venue, we kept décor simple, yet sophisticated.
Let’s see all the darling details captured by Andrea David Photo!
Now that’s an invitation suite! How cool are those golden details on the Minted invite?
As for Christin’s beaded gown? It’s by Rue De Seine from The Dress Theory San Diego!
How sweet is this?!
The most memorable moment of our wedding day was probably our vows. We both just felt something so amazing happen to us as a couple while verbalizing our love and exchanging our forever promises in front of everyone we love most.
The Ceremony Space
A bohemian-inspired wedding wouldn’t be complete without pampas grass, now would it? Here are 21 Unique Ways to Include Pampas Grass in Your Wedding Decor!
Processional: Wedding Party: The Girl by City and Colour; Bride: Can't Help Falling in Love by Kina Granis
Recessional: Helena Beat by Foster the People
First Dance: Love is a Verb by John Mayer
The Wedding Party
The whole wedding party donned black—an elegant contrast to all the white and neutral details of the day. So chic, no?
The Newlyweds
We wanted our day to evoke each of our personal styles, and when we found Millwick we just knew it was the one! We felt the blend of natural elements and industrial vibes was a perfect match!
The florist, Tess Made, brought Christin’s vision to life with a gorgeous neutral palette and tons of texture. Just wait until you see the reception space!
Jordan and I both believe it is critical to keep your “why” as your main focus. All of the details—both big and small—will fall into place when you remember why you are planning this day in the first place. And as long as you prioritize that, it will undoubtedly be one of the most beautiful days of your life!
The Modern Meets Boho Reception
The Millwick already has a gorgeous greenhouse aesthetic, so to complement it, the team added the hanging textured florals!
What an installation to frame the sweetheart table!!
They even had Nutella ding dongs and fresh churros paired with an own affogato barista, courtesy of MIHO Catering Co.
Too cute!!
Cheers to the two of you!
