Maya + Juan Pablo always dreamed of a day that had a whimsical, secret garden-like-feel. Where playful color scheme of reds, creams, greys and mints could mingle with fun details + rustic touches. No backdrop could have been more fitting than Tiny Boxwoods – a half nursery, half eclectic cafe, located in Houston, Texas. We’re admittedly pretty smitten with the setting! And not only are M + JP a super stylish duo, but their good taste inspired them to incorporate some of our most fave design elements into their celebration. Think artful paper blooms, giant tasseled balloons, imaginative florals + impeccable signage. Let’s get right to the good stuff + check out the gorgeous images by Mint Photography!
Major love for the maids’ mismatched frocks (from BHLDN, Alice & Olivia, and Parker) + Maya’s Seychelles booties + beaded gown!
Processional: Bridal Party: Marry You – Bruno Mars; Bride: The Way I am – Ingrid Michaelson (Instrumental)
Recessional: Sweet Pea – Amos Lee (Instrumental)
First Dance: Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop – Landon Pigg
The most memorable moment of the day was when we were standing under the paper flowers reading our vows to one another in the most cozy and beautiful setting in front of all their closest friends and family; it felt truly magical.
And don’t the guys look so great in their contrasting, yet cohesive, patterns?!
We’re guessing it might be a bit intimidating to design florals for a wedding hosted at a gorgeous nursery. But if Ginger and Jive was nervous, you’d never know it! These sweet goblet arrangements are just perfect!
The most beautiful part of our wedding was letting go of every expectation and living in the moment. Plan and organize as much as possible but on the big day…smile, laugh, cry and take it all in—you’re marrying the love of your life today!

Where are the paper flowers from?? They are gorgeous!!
I love everything about this wedding. So many gorgeous details and a couple that looks ridiculous happy.
Beautiful wedding! Love the mismatched bridesmaid dresses and her dress is gorgeous!
Loved the whole idea and theme of the wedding. I am definitely going to use some of these ideas for an upcoming wedding event here in India too.
Did they make their flowers? Would they share where they found instructions???
What a lovely wedding!
Great location and detail shots
What a sweet, sweet wedding! The bride’s dress is fabulous and fun, too.
I have been all over every wedding blog for the past 9 months…this is by far the most beautiful and absolutely gorgeous wedding snapshot I’ve yet to see. The dress, the hair, the flowers, the DRESS! Wonderful!
