Let’s talk alpacas! A few years ago, a hotel in Japan began offering one rather unique amenity to their wedding day packages: the option to rent an alpaca for the day from a nearby zoo! With no real significance or history of alpacas (or their larger cousin, the llama) in wedding ceremonies, the cuteness factor became reason enough: fluffy, happy animals totally Insta-worthy for both the couple and the guests! Fast forward a few years stateside and we’d call alpacas and llamas the latest fun wedding trend — we’re particularly excited about therapy animal centers renting out these sweet animals and using the proceeds to fund therapy and education!
This styled shoot features a bride prone to romance of a more bohemian style. The gal that picks up unique global goods from her travels, has numerous stories to tell, is drawn to a combination of modern + vintage, elegant + organic, and perhaps even a bit of whimsy. Oh — and let’s not forget, she loves animals! Photographed at Black Diamond Alpacas, a working farm in Brentwood, California, by Christy McCarter Photography, this inspired shoot has all the elements of a memorably cute day!
The engagement ring by Lauren Wolf Jewelry is a one of a kind! Lauren’s style is derived from studying jewelry in the mountains of Mexico, which give her pieces a unique and organic feel.
Lovely Letters created the invitation suite and menu card, combining organic, dip-dyed paper with hand-lettered calligraphy.
This dress is actually two-piece design by Judy of Ju.Lee Chic! The Honey Lace top with a scalloped edge and grosgrain ribbon bow is paired with the Cupid Tulle skirt, bringing all the romance!
Milsom & Bloom wanted the florals to make a big statement with bright shades of raspberry, sorbet, and tangerine. The centerpiece and bridal bouquet include gorgeous ranunculus, sweet peas, roses, hellebore, and draping pieris.

Camille Goldston gave the bride a romantic floral hairpiece, as if she’d just been wandering through a field of wildflowers!
The sweetheart table mixed colors and textures with globally-inspired pieces like these romantic vintage peacock chairs and a leather table from Lost and Found Vintage Rentals.
