Indie Woodland Wedding: Amanda + Andrey

Adirondack Mountains Wedding

Happy Monday, friends! We’re kicking off the week with Amanda + Andrey’s  gorgeous, indie woodland wedding which took place at The Mountain House nestled in the picturesque Adirondack mountains. Amanda designed all of the flower arrangements herself using dried flowers and displayed them in specialty beer bottles, as a nod to one of Andrey’s favorite pastimes: home beer brewing! I love their hand-stamped paper goods and Amanda’s adorable Leanne Marshall dress. And the pops of mustard yellow throughout is such a fun touch! Here’s more from Amanda on the meaning behind their location:

The Adirondack Mountains are a very important place in our lives. I’ve vacationed there every summer my entire life and my husband has been hiking its peaks since college. We’re aspiring 46’ers and frequently spend our weekends hiking and exploring there. We knew we wanted to capture the spirit of these mountains in our day.

Big thanks to Pat Furey Photography for sharing these gorgeous images with us today and congratulations to Amanda + Andrey!

I’m always a fan of bikes at a wedding! Amanda + Andrey rode off on their bikes as part of their recessional…so fun!

I love the festive way they decorated the tent with petite, colorful bunting, apple place cards + dried wildflowers. The laid-back decor worked perfectly with the rustic surroundings.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

In the middle of our dinner reception the sky was swirling with black clouds and we could see rain falling on the peaks in the distance. My husband and I escaped for a bit to take in the breathtaking view and just absorb the magnificence of the moment. Not a drop fell on us.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Planning your wedding is a special time that should be fun. Enjoy the time you have being engaged, and enjoy planning together! My husband and I worked on a lot of our wedding projects together, and it's those times that I'll also cherish as making our day that much more meaningful.
