Throughout the entire planning process, Scottie + Lara wanted to make sure that their day was truly a reflection of them + their love. They both love camping + nature, so an outdoor wedding, amongst beautiful trees, was a given. Once they found Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange, CA, they were ready to begin crafting the handmade picnic wedding they had always wanted! More from Lara:
Scottie + I love thrifting together; all of our wedding decor was thrifted from all over California or from our personal stash. Everything from the music, to the giant oak trees, to the succulents in the floral arrangements, to the vintage sheets used as table cloths, to the carrot cake wedding cake my mom made, was all totally 100% us.
Thanks so much to The Why We Love for the beautiful photography and be sure to catch their sweet super 8 film at the end!
The entire day, from start to finish, was really really amazing! For me, there were two very special moments. The first would be my Dad and my son, Kingston, walking me down the aisle. Kingston was so very proud to walk me down the aisle, it was incredibly sweet and a memory I will treasure forever. The second would be reading the vows we wrote to each other. Scottie and I were in tears, most of our guests were in tears, it was incredibly beautiful sharing our love for each other in front of our closest family and friends.
Super in love with the vintage picnic baskets + mismatched blankets Lara + Scottie thrifted together. It’s all in the details, and these two did a great job bringing their picnic vision to life in a fun way!
And their sweet Super 8 Film!
