In keeping with our Italian theme today, our real wedding comes from Perugia, Italy. And wait until you see the photos David Campbell Imagery captured! Such a magical city… Jemma + Daniel based their wedding inspiration around elegance and old world glamor. The city itself created a match for their vision, like the Baroque style town hall building they were married in. A bit about the day from Jemma:
“We wanted all of our guests to feel as though they has been asked to an intimate dinner party. Our outfits were in keeping with our inspiration, shying away from traditional wedding attire. We felt that this worked well with the mood that the medieval town of Perugia evoked.”
So gorgeous. And I’m in major love with Jemma’s black wedding gown – wait until you see it! :) Congrats to Jemma + Daniel!
Processional: The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba – Handel
Recessional: Vivaldi's 'Spring' – The Four Seasons
First Dance: Elton John's 'Your Song' – covered Ellie Goulding
For us both, it was the walk through the main high street, from the Town Hall after we had been married. Walking through the beautiful town, as the friendly locals congratulated us on our marriage, was certainly a highlight. The words "Tanti auguri!" will hold a special place in our hearts.
Destination weddings do not need to be daunting or overly expensive. Trust your instincts, negotiate hard, and don't sweat the little things!
