Glam Disco Wedding Inspiration

disco valentines inspiration

After a brainstorming meeting one afternoon, the creative gals at Love by Lynzie Weddings + Events decided to put together a styled shoot, combining all of their current obsessions: berries, glitter, disco, and big hair! From the saturated reds of the florals + berries, to the incandescent sparkle of the linens + disco balls, to the pretty vintage details + props, the aesthetic is eye catching + unique — and just in time for Valentine’s Day!

We’re loving so much of this session for snagging ideas for an ultra glam wedding or party! Thanks so much to Elizabeth Kaye for the super pretty images and to Coriander Girl for the beautiful + vibrant florals. How many of you are planning a wedding with a similar, sophisticated feel?

Love that they incorporated airplants, my fave, into the tablescape!

From LynzieThe shoot incorporated a ton of really fun DIY ideas. We used mirrored squares to created small “half disco ball” bowls for the berries and sugar plums to sit in. We used bright red yarn to make tassel garlands. We edged the berry print napkins and lace linen with bright red pom pom trim. We sprayed and hand glittered the cylinder vases for the berries and the berries were hand picked from my grandmother’s property!

The lovely gowns were provided by Ferre Sposa Bridal Boutique. And the hair + makeup design, by Ashley Readings + Sarah Smith, was inspired by popular 1970’s disco looks. The brushed out pin-curled hair and bold red lips definitely depict an edgy, vintage-inspired look!
