Friday Favors!

Untamed Petal Headbands Carter and Cook Event Design

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you’ve enjoyed the first week of September here on Green Wedding Shoes. We have so many pretty, creative weddings lined up for this month + I can’t wait to share them all with you guys! Before we head off for the weekend, I want to take a moment to talk about two of our amazing sponsors.

First up is Carter and Cook Event Company. Carter and Cook is an event + design company with a vision for simply fresh, unique and ultra creative celebrations. Ashlyn Carter & Heather Cook are the sweet + talented ladies behind the company. If you are looking for a unique celebration designed around the two of you as a couple, contact them asap! I mean, how pretty are their designs from a recent wedding pictured above. What a creative place card table and GORGEOUS cake table….swoon! You can also see more of their work here and here on Green Wedding Shoes.

Untamed Petals creates some of the most gorgeous hair pieces, sashes, head bands, and more. Amanda is the lovely designer behind these beauties. When I was looking for fun hairpieces for my anniversary photos, Untamed Petals was the place I went (she created that amazing flower piece, black beaded headband, and funky brown veil – just loved them all!). I really wish I found her for my wedding day attire. Check out her shop for more lovely pieces – she also will work with you to create a custom piece. :)

And some other fun things from around the web in case you missed them:

I know I tweeted about this the other day (you can follow me on twitter here), but if you missed it, how amazing is this story?
Njal proposed to Elin at the Band of Horses show in Oslo earlier this year. When the Bride and Groom heard that Band of Horses was to play a festival in Tromso on the same day of their wedding, they contacted the band and told them their story. With all the coincidences surrounding the wedding, the band said, “What the hell” and decided to surprise the couple. The band showed up minutes after landing in Tromso to play Marry Song at their ceremony. Wow!! And here is their performance…

Enjoy the weekend + see you back here on Monday!
