They’ve traveled the world together, so it was only natural for Natalie + Jordan to grab their closet friends and family and head off to Tulum, Mexico for the destination wedding of a lifetime! N described it best when she said: We couldn’t think of a better way to start this life journey than by taking an actual journey to the destination that would start this new life off! With the help of event planners Tailored Events Las Vegas, N + J planned a colorful and eclectic day at Nest Tulum.
N shares more about the day’s inspiration:
Most of our inspiration for the day came from our destination and melding the natural beauty of the tropical jungle and white sand beach of Tulum with Moroccan colors, deep earth tones; greens, reds, yellows. Adding playing touches like maracas, pampas grass, rugs, and bare feet were all things that we wanted to create a relaxed bohemian experience infused with the fun of Mexico.

Saying all the YES to these Golden Girls!! N’s best babes donned Show Me Your Mumu dresses in a warm yellow color. We can’t think of a better shade for a festive destination wedding at the beach! Prep Tulum had everyone looking wedding day ready with boho waves and bronzed makeup looks.

The First Look
N was floating on air in her Liz Martinez wedding dress! Its frothy skirt and delicate floral overlay make it perfect for a destination wedding! N shared this advice about finding the perfect gown:
When it comes to picking a wedding dress, find something that is really you! I’ll never forget my Mom told me after I had found my dress that all of the other wedding dresses looked like me with a wedding dress on but when we found MY DRESS, I looked like me as a bride. What she meant was the other dresses weren’t me, they looked like something that a bride was supposed to wear on a wedding day, but finding the dress that embodied me at this moment in my life.. that was magic!
Ceremony on the Beach
When you think “Perfect Destination Wedding”- an image just like this might come to mind!! Florklore Studio designed this gorgeous boho circle arch of greenery and pampas grass while Archive Rentals provided all of the rustic furniture rentals.
There were so many amazing moments on our big day but one of Jordan and my favorites has to be walking down the aisle. We had a first look and we were so glad we had that intimate moment together before the ceremony. We thought that it would ease the nerves of walking down the aisle (which it 100% did) BUT there is no moment like walking towards your future husband, his face watching you walk towards him, seeing all of your friends and family gathered there to witness.. that moment just hits you like no other. Knowing that you are about to promise the rest of your lives together, we both couldn't help but cry! It was incredible!
N shares this sweet detail: Having my mother (mother of the bride) as our officiant was beyond special. She has married all 3 of her children and having someone who truly knows both Jordan and I and our 12-year love story made saying “I do” that much more intimate and heart-filled.
The Newlyweds!
N + J had a special wedding guest show up to cocktail hour- the queen of Musi-k Entertainment: Freida!
Surprising our guests during cocktail hour with a donkey named Freida was a quirky and unique addition that we wanted to add to the wedding day to make it fun, exciting, and a bit our own! She was a hit, of course!
Get yourself a wedding planner you can depend on! Especially with all the details and planning that goes into a destination wedding; From everything pre-wedding, like when invitations need to go out, researching the right vendors, dealing with travel information, etc. To the days before and THE day; where people need to be and when, directing vendors, helping guests, and handling anything and everything that may pop up! It really took so much stress off of our shoulders, as well as our family and let everyone enjoy every minute. Taylor was incredible! Having someone devoted to making your day special helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams!

Time to Party
With Freida kicking off the reception festivities, it was time for guests to settle in for a night of dining and dancing. We love the Mexican flavor N + J put into all of the details of their destination wedding day! Aren’t those bronze paper goods by Crafts with Lex perfection?!

Remember to just let go! This is one of the most amazing days of your life and it all starts with the two of you! So yes the mariachi band’s car can break down and your family members might be slightly over-intoxicated but it’s not about those things… it’s about deciding to look back years from now on this one big day and remembering all the beauty, joy, and love you experienced! All that starts with deciding to focus on you and him. Don’t let yourself, anyone or anything else get in the way. Just let go. You’re getting married! The memories to last a lifetime are there for the taking, grab those suckers!
