We know you all love adventure elopements as of late, and we’re all about it! From intimate weddings by the beach to just the two of you in Yosemite, bringing your own bouquet can sometimes be a challenge. Plus, many national parks prohibit real bouquets (don’t want to destroy the environment with the possible spread of invasive species), so today we’re bringing you a DIY bouquet with silk flowers!
This bouquet is crafted simply from silk flowers + is the perfect option if you plan to elope. (Plus it’s one less thing you have to think of in the days leading up!) All the gorgeous silk (faux!) flowers are thanks to our friends from Afloral. We love using silk flowers from Afloral for all their versatility and color choices and as you might’ve guessed it…they never die!
Want to make your own? Here’s how we did it:
What You’ll Need:
•Silk flowers + ribbon from AFloral. We chose a greens and went with a lighter floral palette for Spring!
•Scissors
•Floral Tape
Step 1: Start by gathering your greens + fillers and making a shape that you like. We chose to create this bouquet by hand, but using a vase to start also works!
Step 2: After you have a good base, next take your main florals (ranunculus + garden roses in our case) and place them in the bouquet. We found that mixing colors + sizes worked best and adding in gradually from front to back created a really nice shape. Finish with your smaller flowers (hellebores for us!) as accents and you’re all done!
After wrapping your florals in tape to secure together, and then tying with different ribbons, you have a gorgeous garden bouquet!
