This Desert Meets Tropical Wedding in Palm Springs Brings the Mustard Yellow Hues

When Nicole + Brian started planning their wedding, they looked to several bohemian Australian designers and inspiration destinations. They loved the overall feeling and vibe, and how it meshed with their Palm Springs location of Casa De Monte Vista. Bringing planner + designer, Details, Darling, they crafted the dreamiest palette of mustard yellow hues for a bright + cheery day, reminiscent of those Aussie designers.

Alessandra at Details, Darling shares: Nicole’s love for the color mustard became the accent color throughout the whole wedding. From her gorgeous bridal party wearing warm mustard dresses to mustard goblets and hemstitched mustard napkins on the reception table.

Oh, and did we mention that Nicole completely changed up her look for cocktail hour? Yep, this bold lady CHOPPED off her hair + completely surprised her husband…and the rest of the wedding guests! The Hair Chop!

And then…she chopped her hair! We’re wondering if we’ll see more bride’s wanting to do this and change up their look?

Alessandra over at Details, Darling tells us: Nicole had been contemplating chopping her hair for quite some time, but was hesitant to change her hair before her big day. About a week before the wedding she texted me (her planner) with a crazy idea. Nicole planned on chopping her long blonde hair off halfway through her wedding day during the cocktail hour. It was the ultimate surprise not only to all the guests, but also to her wedding party and HUSBAND! Talk about a grand entrance reveal!

What a grand entrance + a truly spectacular day! Don’t all those sunny yellow hues give off such a happy feeling? We certainly think so!
