For the Couple That Loves to Entertain: The Ultimate Guide to Your Gift Registry with Bed Bath & Beyond

We partnered with Bed Bath & Beyond to create a new dining room for entertaining and relaxing family meals.

Isn’t there a saying that goes, “couples who cook together, grow together?” No? Well, it sounds like a pretty true sentiment to us! We’d say the same goes for those that entertain together, too! As newlywed life is on the horizon, and you’re planning out all the details of the day, and then how to combine all your goodies (especially when it comes to the kitchen and home aesthetic) — it can be a challenging time. What do we keep? What do we need? What about these forks, and those plates?

We know this song and dance all too well, and wanted to offer up a helping hand! Today, we partnered with Bed Bath & Beyond to create a new dining room for entertaining and relaxing family meals and wanted to give you the inside scoop! From Bed Bath & Beyond furniture (did you know they had that?!), to gorgeous glassware, flatware, and the prettiest cheeseboard we ever did see!

Let’s take a tour through a few of our favorite picks that you can easily register for online! We’re even sharing several entertaining tips + tricks!

Boho Dining Room

Furniture

Did you know that Bed Bath & Beyond sells gorgeous furniture?! This was news to us (and the best news, at that!). We picked the Pangea Home Calvin Dining Table — a neutral table that fit with the modern boho vibe of our home (truth be told, this table is so versatile and could work with a number of styles!), and one that was easy to clean. The Modway Amish Dining Arm Chairs in Black totally fit our style, especially when paired with the Sheepskin Blankets on the Chairs.

Boho Dining Room

One of our favorite ways to tie a room together and really bring a fun pop into the space? A good rug!

We’re absolutely smitten over this Magnolia Home Lucca Rug in Rust/Ivory, as its got the fun pink hues, but still ties in the dark navy blue and lighter tones. Not too bright, not too feminine, and just right for our dining space! A faux plant is always a good route to go + this wicker basket? The perfect match! When the table isn’t covered in decadent delights, we like to have a few small table vases out.

Place Settings: Plates, Flatware + Napkins

Gold Plates and Flatware

Is this not one of the prettiest plate combos you’ve ever seen?! The Olivia & Oliver Dinnerware plate, plus the smaller Olivia & Oliver Accent Plate rimmed in gold make for a seriously luxe look! The Gold Flatware plays off the gold speckles, and the Table Napkins (in gray) round out the look.

Tip #1: Smaller plates on top of larger ones create an elevated look! Here, you are free to mix and match, a large black plate with a small speckled gold, looks fantastic, or you can mix in pops of color here, too.

Another plus that we’re super keen on? How easy their website is to use, all the online registry features + options, and the ability to schedule in-store appointments online! Basically this means you can shop from the comfort of your home (or bed), at any hour of the day… in your pajamas. Booooo-yah!

Glassware

Pretty glassware is one of the easiest ways to step up your entertaining game! Whether you’re having a wine + cheese night and sampling each of you friends’ favorites, whipping up a cocktail or two, or delving into the world of Moscow Mules — we think these are the staples for barware:

Ever wonder why Moscow Mules are always served in their infamous copper mugs? The legend goes that Moscow Mules were invented in 1941 by a Mr. John Martin — who was trying to persuade Americans to drink his Smirnoff Vodka, and a Mr. Jack Morgan, the owner of the Cock ‘n’ Bull pub on the Sunset Strip. Morgan made a ginger beer that patrons didn’t particularly fancy, Martin had a bunch of vodka, and some versions of this story suggest that a third party was involved — a lady that had a large supply of copper mugs and needed to get rid of them. Copper is pretty good at keeping things (read: drinks) cold… Well, after much taste testing + probably quite a few spills, the Moscow Mule was born! It spread like wildfire through the Hollywood crowd. Et voilà, a cocktail is born!

Coupe Glasses

Tip #2:  Add edible flowers to cocktails and food to make it prettier! We like to use chamomile flowers, which you can sometimes pick up from Whole Foods or Trader Joes, or any other assortment of edible florals!

Serving Utensils + Platters

Citrus Salad

With the gorgeous white and gold plates, you’ve got to have serving utensils and dishes to go with them, right? We have a thing for the Olivia & Oliver line… I mean all that white and gold is just so clean, crisp, and cool! Seen above is the Olivia & Oliver Vegetable Bowl, with the Vera Wang Wedgwood® Polished Gold 4-Piece Hostess Set.

And introducing the only platter you’ll ever need: the Olivia & Oliver Harper Organic Shape Gold 16-Inch Oblong Platter!

Steak Tacos

Dig these pieces as much as us? Bed Bath & Beyond has ‘Rock Your Registry‘ in-store events! So you + your love can make a date of it and register for everything you need.

Tip #3: Have a florist create a centerpiece for the table! A great floral arrangement really sets the whole mood, plus it’s one less thing for you to take care of! We are in love with these beauties that Lindsey from La Rosa Que Creció Floral Design created for us!

Cheeseboard

Dessert Board

Have you ever seen a cheeseboard look this pretty? We’re a little biased… but look at all those darling desserts! This White Marble and Natural Agate Paddle Board not only makes for the perfect styling board + backdrop, but you can serve desserts + cheese with a Cheese Knife Set, too! ;)

Dessert Board

Tip #4: Our final tip for a fun dessert idea? Pick up a bunch of delicious treats from your fave bakery + display on the cheeseboard along with edible flowers — easy, yummy and so pretty!

We’d love to hear what’s going on your registry, along with all your tips and tricks for entertaining!
